Signals are ranked by a composite momentum score combining volume ratio (40%), social mentions (30%), and search interest (30%).

## Data Sources

- **Yahoo Finance API**: Real-time price, volume, and market cap data
- **Reddit r/wallstreetbets**: 24-hour mention velocity tracking
- **Google Trends**: Normalized search interest score (0-100)

## Signal Methodology

Each stock receives a **Momentum Score** (0-100) calculated as:
- Volume Ratio (today's volume ÷ 30-day average) → 40% weight
- Reddit Mention Count (24h) → 30% weight  
- Google Trends Score → 30% weight

- **UNUSUAL_VOLUME**: Volume ratio exceeds 4x average
- **WSB_SURGE**: Reddit mention count exceeds 1,000 in 24 hours
- **SEARCH_SPIKE**: Google Trends score above 65/100
- **BREAKOUT**: Price up more than 5% with elevated volume
- **INSTITUTIONAL**: High volume ratio with minimal price movement (dark pool activity)
- **EARNINGS_PLAY**: Options activity signals anticipated earnings catalyst
- **SHORT_SQUEEZE**: Elevated short interest combined with rising social momentum
